DIETARY REGIMENT TO LOSE WEIGHT

DIETARY REGIMENT TO LOSE WEIGHT

DIETARY REGIMENT TO LOSE WEIGHTUnintentional weight loss is the decrease in body weight when one puts no effort in losing weight on your own. It can caused by an underlying disease or malnourishment. Even little amounts of unintentional weight loss can have effects on frail elderly persons.

This occurs because of not eating adequately a nutritious diet which is relative to a persons’ energy needsand metabolism rate. Also poor nutrient utilization can lead to weight loss and can be caused by fistulae in the gastrointistend tract. Fistulae in other words refers to tube or pipe.

Assessing of body weight can be done through BMI (body mass index) which is relative to an individual’s height and weight. Anything above 25 in the body mass index is overweight. However in this article we look at how one can lose weight without causing health problems.

Body Mass Index is a simple calculation using a person's height and weight. The formula is BMI = kg/m2 where kg is a person's weight in kilograms and m2 is their height in metres squared. A BMI of 25.0 or more is overweight while below 18.5 is unhealthy.

First and foremost choose a diet plan that helps loose excess fats in the body. Vegan dIets are seen as the utmost model but others may work too. Nutritionists have their patientsget some blood, thyroid  testscheckup, blood sugar monitored, and serum insulin in my case  one has PCOD.  Thus it’s just not about losing weight but getting to know the underlying reason of piling on the kilos or pounds-depending on which part of the globe you are in.

Below are some dos and donts on some of the dietary plans to lose weight.
  • Half an hour of aerobic exercise daily. Join a gym of exemplary standards. But due time or money constraint one can’t join a gym all one needs is a comfortable pairr of shoes to do some cardio; a short run stretching a couple of miles, a skipping rope to do at least 500 skips (5 sets of 100 skips and increasing it as you go). And finally 1.5 -2 kgs dumbbells for toning your upper body. Just these basic things and you are set.
  • Greatly reduce your intake of salt
  • Have no aerated drinks or carbonated drinks. This includes even the diet versions of such drinks
  • Restrict mango and banana.
  • Restrict potato and rice.
  • No artificial juices as well.
  • Start partaking in breathing techniques. Inhalation and exhalation. 20 mins of breathing exercise such Baba Ramdevs pranayama are wholesomely beneficial.
Also reduce your intake of starch and take more proteins and fruits. Drink on average two litres of water daily and keep off fatty foods. Junk food is out of the question when one tries to lose weight.

If these simple methods work, continue and don’t revert to a diet that made you overweight in the first place. However if continuing weight loss deteriorates into wasting leading to a condition called anorexia cachexia syndrome (ACS). Begin eating food that build muscles more than fat. Also its also very important to note that medical treatment can directly or indirectly cause weight loss, impairing treatment effectiveness and recovery that can lead to further weight loss in a vicious cycle.

On the other side of the scale social conditions including poverty, social isolation and inability to get nutritious or preferred foods can cause unintentional weight loss, and this may be particularly common in older people. This can also be affected by culture, family and belief systems.

Being underweight or overweight is not normal and one should strive for a standard BMI index is 18.5 to 24.9. Lets all eat healthy and from time to time exercise.
